The Star Shelter, which falls under the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations, provides temporary refuge for victims of family violence and others in need of protection, regardless of race, language or religion.
Opened on 16th March 1999, it is the only secular shelter in Singapore. It consists of four dormitories and two family rooms, and can house up to 20 persons at a time.
